Parks & Recreation

The Kouts Town Park was established in 1965 and dedicated in 1966. It is named Drazer Park in honor of Thomas Drazer of Kouts, the first Vietnam casualty from Porter County. Located at the west end of Daumer Road, the park is a quiet, shady place to have a picnic or just sit and visit with friends.

There is a shelter equipped with tables and a large pole barn which can be used by groups when weather does not permit using the shelter. The park also includes tennis courts, a large playground, and a lighted community ball field for soccer, softball, Little League, T-Ball and Junior Baseball League games are played.
